Staffing FAQs

How does your company work?

BGT Staffing works with Knoxville area companies to help to fill open positions.  BGT clients typically reach out to BGT Staffing to outsource the hiring process so they can stay in their day-to-day rather than spend time recruiting. BGT then takes the client’s open position, recruits, interviews, and presents resumes to the company which will hopefully result in a successful match.

What types of roles do you recruit for?

Our areas of expertise are accounting/finance, human resources, executive administration, marketing, and operations management.

Does the client or the associate pay for this service?

There is no cost to the associates who apply to BGT. BGT works “hand in hand” with the client on an acceptable pay rate (for the associate) and a bill rate (which the clients pay hourly to BGT). The candidate will never be charged for any aspect of BGT’s service. The client handles all of the fees associated with hiring the associate.

How does an associate get started with BGT Staffing in order to get considered for an opportunity?

It is important to BGT that you feel like you are getting the attention you deserve. For that reason, when you call BGT, you will know who will be answering the phone. You can reach out directly to Kayla / kayla@bgtstaffing.com or Natalie / natalie@bgtstaffing.com or apply through the BGT Staffing website.  Once your information is received, we will be in touch to learn more about your job search.

Are all of your jobs temporary or contract jobs?

No. BGT Staffing works with clients on contract (short-term/long-term/indefinite) positions, temp-to-hire and direct hire. BGT will always be upfront and transparent on the type of job we are working on when discussing the potential opportunity with a candidate.

Will I be a W2 employee of the client of your company?

At the beginning of a candidate relationship with BGT, if the role is a contract or temp-to-hire job, you will be a W2 employee of BGT Staffing, not 1099 (responsible for your own taxes) and you will receive a W2 at the end of the year for tax purposes. If a candidate stays on until hired permanently, you will continue to get a paycheck through BGT Staffing. Once a candidate is hired on by the client, they will then go onto the company (BGT’s client) W2 payroll and will receive all of the documentation in order to take care of taxes the next year.
